Want to play your part in shaping policy in London?

The Health & Social Care Team is looking for a highly motivated person with ambition, initiative and the ability to work flexibly in a dynamic, quickly changing policy environment.

You will have experience of contributing to policy development in social care and services to vulnerable adults and children, and/or public health or related policy areas, with a good understanding of local government and its roles in a complex landscape.

You will be able to build effective relationships across sectors, communicate, negotiate with and influence a diverse range of people; have experience of creative problem solving and managing a varied workload in a pressurised environment.

In a fast-moving environment, you will be helping London boroughs respond to the challenges of improving the health and wellbeing of vulnerable Londoners, notably those at risk of domestic violence and modern slavery, but also all those who rely on care support. The challenge ahead will be to enable strong leadership in the development of policy as London prepares for and starts the journey of social recovery and seeks to build back in ways which strengthen boroughs’ efforts to improve the health and wellbeing of all Londoners.
