I am recruiting a Public Affairs Adviser for a membership body based in London.
You will:
- Develop and implement a stakeholder engagement programme for policy makers and external stakeholders to inform, influence and shape opinion;
- Plan and organise political engagement events, including Parliamentary and Party Conference receptions, roundtables, panel discussions and seminars;
- Monitoring policy developments and identifying opportunities for influencing;
- Representing the organisation in the public domain, organising and attending meetings with key stakeholders to highlight and discuss the Institute and issues of interest;
- Drafting responses to Parliament and Government consultations as well as personalised briefings and information documents for both internal and external colleagues.
You will have:
- A degree educated professional with capacity for strategic analysis and excellent writing skills;
- Enthusiastic and flexible with strong interpersonal skills, especially common sense, judgement and initiative;
- Knowledge of UK government processes, along with ability to assess and make recommendations for policy development;
- Experience of working in, or alongside, Parliament or relevant Government department(s).
