I am recruiting for two Public Affairs & Advocacy Manager positions with a pharmaceutical business in the Home Counties.

You will:

  • Develop and implement Public Affairs & Advocacy Plans, including stakeholder engagement strategies in the UK for the Immunology and Respiratory Franchise 
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships, and acts as lead contact in the UK, with Patient Organisations and other policy stakeholders including Government Ministers, parliamentarians and civil servants
  • Champion best practice in patient advocacy activities
  • Management of resources and in year budgeting, including accurately raising purchase requisitions with information provided by requestor and ensure such information is correct

You will have:

  • Knowledge: broad healthcare industry, NHS, policy & political knowledge; understanding or experience of Matrix organisations; understanding or experience of Regulatory and compliance issues for the pharmaceutical industry;
  • Experience: significant experience gained working in, for example; patient advocacy; the pharmaceutical industry; the NHS or healthcare; Westminster, Whitehall or devolved administrations; Public Affairs or Communications Agencies Expertise in communications, Public or Government Affairs or Patient Advocacy;
  • Capabilities: strategic and tactical planning; Influencing and engaging skills; politically astute, ability to build strategic networks and transversal collaboration; challenge the status quo and think creatively; navigate complexity, while adhering to internal operating procedures.  Excellent written and oral communications skills; design, structure and delivery of presentations;
  • Direct experience of pharmaceutical product launches would be advantageous;
  • Personal Attributes: ethical; patient minded, integrity, energy and resilience, entrepreneurship.
