We are looking to recruit to a new post of Public Affairs Officer to lead and enhance our work in Holyrood and Cardiff Bay. You will be collaborating with colleagues across the team and the wider Salvation Army to advance our public affairs activities, particularly our work around homelessness and addictions.

You will have excellent communication skills and a passion for tackling social justice issues; experience of working in a parliamentary setting and a knowledge of Scottish or Welsh parliamentary procedure and how they can be used to further campaigns.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and innovative team and make a tangible difference to the lives of others.

For over 150 years, The Salvation Army has worked to see lives transformed and has fought the social inequalities affecting the most vulnerable in our communities.  Today, through our network of frontline services and social programmes, we continue to support the most marginalised in society.

Location: There is no set location for this role. This role will involve some travel across the UK with overnight stays.

Benefits: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays; a contributory pension scheme; season ticket loan and an employee assistance programme.
