I am currently recruiting Regulatory Analyst for a renewable energy business based anywhere in Dublin. The business offers Public Electric Vehicle Charging, Low Carbon Business Solutions, and Generating Renewable Energy.

The Regulation team plays an important strategic and operational role by providing insight into and influencing the direction of regulatory developments that underpin commercial success in the energy industry and enables the delivery of their Strategy. Recognising this growth path, the regulation team is growing to ensure that they can meet these increasing and exciting new demands as we support new projects, re purpose existing units and also prepare units for exit.

You will:

  • Identify opportunities and threats through interpreting industry and market codes, policies etc, and set out their possible impact on the business;
  • Support the business (at all levels) to implement the rules to maximise economic return, whilst fostering strong and supportive relationships;
  • Have an impact on our future success by shaping future energy and capacity market designs by leading responses to consultations issued from Regulators / System & Market Operators / Government Departments / EC;
  • Identify, develop and influence the introduction of new proposals to codes that are necessary to support business objectives;
  • Represent the business at external engagements with the RAs and at industry representative groups and working groups (SEMO, T&SC Modifications Committee, EirGrid, SEMC, National Grid, Ofgem, Elexon, EAI and EUK).

The applicants:

  • We are looking for individuals varying levels of experience with energy market regulatory experience which can come from policy, economics, technical or engineering;
  • An ability to form relationships at all levels and have strong influencing and stakeholder management skills and an ability to retain excellent relationships, in what at times is a challenging environment;
  • The skills for problem solving/modelling and analytical capability with excellent communication (written/ verbal/presentations) skills;
  • Proven ability to work well as part of a flexible team and managing teams with diverse makeup but where you are not the line manager;
  • An ability to prioritise and effective time management workload is key to have timely impact.
