I am currently recruiting a Regulatory Engagement & Strategy Manager with a major global insurer.

You will:

  • Support the management of the day to day activities of the Regulatory Liaison team including briefing Corporation Senior Leadership and Non-Executive Directors for their interactions with regulators, attending meetings with the UK regulators, taking notes as required and escalating issues when appropriate, providing insight and guidance on regulatory relationship management and substantive issues management as appropriate;
  • Ensure the robustness and effectiveness of our regulatory liaison processes and records;
  • Oversee and ensure effective forward planning of the organisation’s programme of regulatory meetings and engagement;
  • Ensure briefings for regulatory meetings reflect changes in regulatory requirements and up to and relevant information;
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of effective working relationships with the PRA and the FCA on behalf of the organisation.

You will have:

  • Knowledge of UK financial services regulatory framework;
  • Knowledge and experience in the design, implementation and management of effective risk management frameworks and operating risk control processes;
  • Knowledge of the dynamics and players in the international insurance business and markets advantageous;
  • A flexible approach to work assignments and the ability to cope with and be supportive of change in a positive and constructive manner;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, credibility in influencing, negotiating and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders, e.g. colleagues, including overseas based staff, regulators, members of committees and other key internal governance groups.
