Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

I am currently recruiting a Regulatory Stakeholder Manager with an energy tech business in London (flexible working).

You will:

  • Lead for managing strategic oversight of messages and engagement with SEC Panel, and support for engagement with other SEC committees as required;
  • Influence BEIS and Ofgem engagement to ensure the business are able to lobby support for strategic programmes;
  • Work in collaboration with external stakeholders – SEC Manager (SECAS), Governance Committee Chairs, Ofgem and BEIS;
  • Undertake a variety of secretariat duties e.g. input into setting agendas, drafting meeting minutes, tracking actions to closure; and;
  • Preparing executive briefing papers for senior level engagements with stakeholders.

You will have:

  • Strong document writing skills; able to understand and interpret complex messages and transpose them into quality papers for our customers and stakeholders;
  • Ideally worked within government or a regulated industry;
  • A strategic thinker and problem solver, able to bring to life and co-ordinate messages to ensure a joined up “big picture”;
  • Self-starter, able to use their initiative to identify appropriate solutions, meet tight deadlines and work in a high pressure environment;
  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills;
  • The ability to work across the organisation and functions and lead others more senior, influencing how they work together and work with stakeholders;
  • Excellent influencing skills across all levels of an organisation;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor complex messages for different audiences;
  • Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams.
