The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

This full-day course will provide a step-by-step guide to building sustainable political engagement with MSPs and the Scottish Parliament.

Socttish ParliamentLearn how to draft questions, submit motions and ensure that MSPs are briefed ahead of plenary debates. This training workshop will introduce you to the language and format of each process, offering a step-by-step guide to positive political engagement.

Discussion time during the day will give insight into different approaches and the 'Meet the MSP' session will allow delegates to discuss first-hand, the expectations of parliamentarians when being approached by external organisations. In addition, every delegate has access to a free hour's follow-up - with no 'use-by' date!

Participants should ensure that they have a basic understanding of the Parliament's remit and powers, or should consider this course in combination with Understanding Holyrood.
