Are you prepared to deal with a public affairs crisis?

A crisis can take on many forms and many businesses and organisations are not often prepared for these crisis especially those involving public affairs.

You may have your crisis management plans prepared to communicate to your stakeholders via the media, social media and customer relations but what about the public affairs side?

Public affairs is an effective communications tool and should be considered when preparing a comprehensive crisis management plan. Politicians, whether national or local are key stakeholders to be considered when planning any crisis strategy.

Are you prepared for a public affairs crisis? Politicians make decisions that impact on businesses, charities and other organisations every day. But what if your best laid announcement or plan used to target politicians goes wrong? What if your strategy is misinterpreted? How do you mend bridges? How do you get your political strategy back on track?

The course will explore the strategies and approach to undertake if and when a public affairs crisis strikes. It will also consider how to communicate effectively with politicians at all levels of influence, when a crisis hits your organisation.
