Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

A strong Students’ Union is one that delivers real change that makes a material impact for members; here at University of Nottingham Students’ Union we are embarking on an exciting journey that seeks to ensure our members see us as an organisation that delivers positive change. We are currently recruiting a Democracy Development Worker to be part of this journey.

This position focuses on supporting and developing our internal structures for change and decision making. The role will provide a strong and varied administrative support to the team and elected officers in political processes such as elections and producing minutes of democratic related meetings. To ensure the effectiveness of democratic practices the maintenance of a variety of recording processes will be the responsibility of the post holder.

Strong interpersonal skills will be required when working directly with student representatives in supporting them to effectively put forward ideas for change.
