Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

ComRes is a leading research consultancy specialising in corporate reputation, public policy and communications. We work for a wide variety of clients across numerous sectors – these include major national and international media outlets, world-leading companies and large charities.

For individuals interested in gaining experience in a lively, hard-working environment; ComRes run an internship programme. Each placement lasts for three-months commencing in January, April, July and October of each year.

The internship provides candidates with an excellent opportunity to gain experience and forge professional relationships in the exciting area where communications and market research meet.

This role will include:

  • Successful candidates will have the opportunity to assist in qualitative and quantitative research;
  • Help us produce and write reports for clients;
  • Arrange and attend events, training courses and networking opportunities;
  • Generally support all teams across the company including business development, qual and quant research and office management.

Our Intern will have:

  • Applicants will have a keen interest in current affairs and politics;
  • Be computer literate;
  • Be enthusiastic, self-motivated, hard working; have an eye for detail;
  • Be able to communicate successfully in both written and verbal contexts to a wide-range of audiences;
  • Feel comfortable working independently as well as in a team environment.
