If so, we are seeking a highly motivated Public Affairs Assistant to support the Local Government Association’s (LGA) Public Affairs and Stakeholder Engagement team in its work with parliamentarians and stakeholders. This is the ideal opportunity for you to progress your public affairs career by joining a team that works with closely with Parliament.
This permanent position is based in our communications directorate. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to help the Public Affairs and Stakeholder Engagement team in the delivery of briefing materials for relevant parliamentary and campaign activity. Demonstrating a ‘can-do’ attitude, you will also support the team in its work influencing parliamentary debates, parliamentary committees and legislation.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a keen interest in politics and current affairs. You will be highly organised, an enthusiastic team player and comfortable working to tight deadlines.
