Community Pharmacy Scotland (CPS) represents the interests of over 1250 community pharmacy contractors in Scotland. The organisation develops, supports and promotes the key role played by community pharmacy in meeting health needs of the Scottish population. This post, which reports to the Head of Policy and Development, will be part of a small team that supports pharmacy contractors across Scotland.
Duties of the role include:
- Leading the public affairs portfolio within the organisation to support messages;
- Providing support and advice to members in areas of public affairs;
- Monitoring public affairs activity across the political landscape in Scotland.
You should have a good knowledge and understanding of Scottish politics and an understanding of deploying public affairs tactics to delivered objectives. An ability to understand and produce briefing documents in complex policy areas is also required. Preferably educated to degree level or equivalent as demonstrated by previous experience.
This is a full time post of 35 hours per week with 25 days holiday plus 9 public holidays. The salary will be between £22,000 and a maximum of £25,000 depending on experience. The package also offers flexitime, a non-contributory pension and a life assurance scheme.
