Westminster Advisers

Saving the planet, saving lives

Dominic Church, Managing Director of Westminster Advisers, said: "It is an honour to be shortlisted for the CIPR’s Excellence Awards. We are all incredibly proud of the public affairs campaign we have led for the Cycle to Work Alliance. The cycle to work scheme is an excellent example of business and government working together to bring about improved policy outcomes."

The Cycle to Work Alliance brings together the four largest providers of the cycle to work scheme, a tax-exempt employee benefit aimed at encouraging greater numbers of individuals to commute to work by bike. Westminster Advisers has worked with the Alliance to implement a targeted public affairs strategy, focused on demonstrating to policymakers – both within government and beyond – the role of the scheme in delivering increased sustainable transport levels and improved public health outcomes. An extensive, quantitative evidence base regarding scheme users – the first time such analysis had been undertaken in this sector – enabled the Alliance to demonstrate to Government how the scheme is helping them meet their policy ambitions.

Full details of the category and the entrants can be found on the CIPR website, along with details of all the other categories.

The Excellence Awards take place on Tuesday 17 June at Old Billingsgate, with an expected turnout of over 800 practitioners.
