A leading membership organisation are currently seeking a Senior/Policy Adviser to support the development of policy and lobbying efforts on Higher Education (HE) issues.

This is an exciting opportunity to conduct research and analysis on HE policy issues whilst engaging with HE institutions, parliamentarians and other organisations that have an interest in HE policy. There will be a wide-ranging work load that will include drafting policy briefs, consultation responses, political engagement and influencing and campaign project work.

Required knowledge, skills and experience

Candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A strong academic background to degree-level or equivalent in a relevant discipline;
  • Proven experience in policy related work;
  • Commercial acumen;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Strong research and analytical skills;
  • Experience of stakeholder engagement.
