This is an opportunity for an experienced public affairs Account Director to join an independent communications agency specialising in public and corporate affairs.

With a recent rebrand, the agency is going through an exciting transition. Founded in the mid-2000’s as a public affairs agency, they have recently branched out to provide an integrated corporate affairs offering. They need a savvy, public affairs professional to help steer business development and organic account growth. You will be in charge of managing relationships with key media influencers, providing strategic counsel to executive-level clients and ensuring alignment of internal and external stakeholders.

This role offers plenty of autonomy for you to drive the strategic direction of this growing team. You should have a proven track record of successful political engagement, new business development, and experience in team management and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business and organic growth across accounts;
  • Manage relationships with senior media/political influencers;
  • Partner with clients to establish the strategic direction for social media engagements & objectives across the account;
  • Provide strategic counsel to executive-level clients and influence and negotiate scope of work with clients;
  • Contribute to agency strategic planning process;
  • Oversee team utilisation, financial and resource management issues.

Key Requirements

  • Proven track record in political engagement & new business development;
  • Knowledge of Westminster political engagement and the current political climate;
  • Demonstrable experience in team management & development, and staff training and motivating with the goal of retention.
