A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ambitious individual to join a market-leading Public Affairs consultancy as an Account Manager – Junior Account Director.  With a plan in place to quickly promote and progress the career of the successful candidate, the opportunity best suits an experienced Account Executive or Account Manager. Experience within the financial services or healthcare sectors (in-house or consultancy) is highly advantageous.

The opportunity

The successful candidate will be driving the projects for long-standing and crucial clients. The successful candidate would act as liaison to existing clients, while also being passionate about new business.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing communication plans and proposals;
  • Taking charge of accounts, driving them forward, using initiative to deliver to plan;
  • Giving advice and overseeing work of other team members;
  • Adding value to political and media monitoring;
  • Drafting materials – parliamentary briefing documents, key message documents, proposals, press notices, policy reports;
  • Leading and attending meetings with clients;
  • Provide strategic advice to clients;
  • Coming up with leads and helping to win new business.

Necessary skills:

  • Political and campaigning experience;
  • Excellent organisational abilities, including project management and the ability to juggle a number of competing priorities;
  • Good media and digital skills, including social media;
  • Able to understand, condense and communicate complex issues;
  • Excellent drafting skills;
  • Commercial acumen;
  • Strong inter-personal skills.
