The role:
The Law Society is a membership organisation working hard to promote the work of lawyers across England & Wales. Working within the Public affairs team this role will see you work collaboratively with teams across the organisation to ensure the right people contribute to campaign content which will require you to have strong networking, interpersonal skills and project management skills as you liaise with senior stakeholders internally and externally to drive forward a number of key campaigns. This is a new role within the Society, and so the post holder will be expected to introduce a new approach to effective influencing and campaigning within the Society, including Upskilling colleagues to campaigns skills and techniques.

Essential
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:
- Degree level education or equivalent with substantial campaigning and project management experience;
- Strong understanding of project management skills and tools;
- Significant experience of delivering impactful campaigns with demonstrable results;
- Significant experience of collaborative working including within a complex member/customer focussed organisation to deliver agreed outcomes;
- Experience of evaluating and reporting on the performance of campaigns;
- Solid problem solving skills and proven experience using sound judgement to weigh opportunities and risks to determine the way forward;
- Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills, including dealing confidently and diplomatically with senior internal and stakeholders often in demanding and pressurised situations;
- Strong written and oral influencing skills, including experience in delivering internal and external presentations.
Desirable
- Knowledge of the legal profession;
- Experience of working with/for membership/professional bodies;
- Sound knowledge of the workings of the media and the political system.
