Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

Join the Network

Our client is the public affairs arm of a well-respected globally networked agency; they represent clients with a diverse range of priorities, often involving global or pan-European issues. They have instructed us to search for a talented and passionate consultant with an interest in issues around energy, the environment, climate change, and sustainability.

Managing accounts across a range of sectors, but with an emphasis on those in the climate change and sustainability sector, the successful candidate will lead on the development and implementation of engagement strategies for major clients.

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining high level networks amongst opinion formers;
  • Contributing to the development of new business for the agency;
  • Working with colleagues from across the agency to ensure a high quality, fully integrated, service is delivered to clients;
  • Managing and mentoring junior members of the team;
  • Provision of high quality strategic advice and intelligence to clients.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Significant experience in the public affairs and political communications sector;
  • Some experience of working within the political arena (e.g. within Westminster, Whitehall, or one of the political parties);
  • A highly strategic approach to problem solving;
  • Exceptional communication skills.
