A pivotal role with a global business, a leader in its field and with ambitious plans for growth. Reporting to the Director of Government Affairs, EMEA, you’ll lead the company’s government relations and public policy function, and implement emerging market and market development strategies within Southern and Eastern Europe (SEE), based at the company’s regional HQ in Budapest. In addition to providing counsel to senior executives on public policy and governmental matters in the region, you’ll develop government relations and public policy strategy, oversee relations with key industry groups and trade bodies, and build relations with government officials and agencies, while developing thought leadership and commercial strategies particular to the region. Experience gained in government or public affairs is essential, ideally in a commercial, healthcare setting, and you’ll bring deep understanding of legislative and public policy making processes, and a track record of building relations with political stakeholders. Knowledge of and/or experience gained within SEE would be highly advantageous as would additional language skills but fluency in English is a prerequisite and you’ll be a talented wordsmith with first class presentation skills and the credibility to provide senior level counsel.
