An exciting opportunity to take a lead in policy and communications for this global pharmaceutical business. Reporting directly to the Director of External Affairs you will demonstrate leadership, strategic thought and campaign skills gained from within the health sector and will have an excellent track record in leading on public affairs and wider corporate communications.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing high profile public affairs campaigns/communications to secure legislative change and influence government policy;
  • Developing strategic programme development and the implementation of UK policy and communications programmes;
  • Establishing and building senior level stakeholder engagement programmes both internally and externally;
  • Protecting and enhancing reputation within the media and with other key external audiences/stakeholders.

Key skills & experience:

  • Extensive and successful track record of managing high profile public affairs campaigns within the health sector;
  • Superior communication skills both written and verbal alongside strong presentation and interpersonal skills;
  • Proven track record of leadership and development of strategic communications programmes and campaigns;
  • Experience leading and managing corporate media relations strategy including crisis and issues communications;
  • Knowledge and experience of working on high-profile CSR campaigns would be desirable.
