A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Head of Government Affairs and Communications for a global healthcare business in Surrey.

You will:

  • Proactively develop and ensure the strategic management of contacts in key external stakeholder groups, including Whitehall, Westminster, Dublin, Regional/Local governments, and wider healthcare opinion leaders. Manage strategic engagement with influential Healthcare bodies such as Dept. of Health, NHS Improvement, appropriate Think Tanks, NICE and other influential bodies;
  • Build network with key stakeholders and play an active role in industry groups relevant to Healthcare;
  • Develop propositions and messaging that are relevant to specific customers and wider stakeholders regarding the value and impact of our solutions. These will require a good understanding of local healthcare economics, payment mechanisms and tariffs and should clearly identify the value proposition (evidence based where possible);
  • Manage the communications team covering marketing communications, employee and online communications;
  • Monitor trends and provide analysis and insight into key policy and industrial issues impacting the broader Healthcare landscape and impact on disease pathways.

You will have:

  • Experience of government affairs and public policy in a Healthcare organisation within the UK;
  • Experience of leading a team;
  • Marketing experience;
  • Previous experience of engaging with key stakeholders in government departments, such as the Department of Health;
  • Media connections;
  • Confident influencer.
