Role outline

We are looking for an experienced person to lead our work in Health. This includes managing the Health team (plus line management for the Energy Safety team), and personally managing the Chronic Pain Policy Coalition, reporting to the CEO. The role has overall responsibility for the All-Party Parliamentary Health Group, the Chronic Pain Policy Coalition, the Carbon Monoxide All Fuels Action Forum, and the All-Party Parliamentary Carbon Monoxide Group.

The role also has responsibility for personally managing The Chronic Pain Policy Coalition (CPPC), which brings together a wide range of professional bodies, patient organisations, parliamentarians and industry representatives, with the aim of working together to improve the lives of the 14 million people living with chronic pain and their families. The CPPC's work is steered by an Executive Committee made up of leading figures in chronic pain. You will work with the CPPC Executive Committee to develop a strategy and disseminate the Coalition’s main objectives through the development of a coherent parliamentary and media strategy.

This is an important and varied role which will provide you with the opportunity to shape the policy views of the Coalition and to influence the thinking of Government, Parliament, NHS England and other stakeholders. The role would suit someone ambitious, who has experience of working in a healthcare policy or public affairs environment, and is keen to make a significant impact on the way services are delivered for patients.

Salary: c.£28,884 - £32,896. Salary includes a £400 travel and mobile allowance. Pension contribution on completion of 3 month probationary period.
