The British Association and College of Occupational Therapists (BAOT/COT) is the only professional body for occupational therapists in the UK, acting as a voice for the profession and providing trade union membership. It has a membership of 30,000 occupational therapy staff and students.

Occupational Therapy News, the monthly membership magazine of the British Association/College of Occupational Therapists, is looking to recruit a journalist to research and write news and features for print and on the web, on policies and current affairs affecting BAOT members and the occupational therapy profession.

Applicants will have a fresh and lively creative writing style, and have an interest in the health and social care sector. They will need the interviewing skills and accuracy required to deal professionally with key figures, members and external influencers at national and international levels.

The position will entail reporting from the BAOT/COT’s annual conference and other events and campaigns as required. Duties will also include editing copy, sub-editing and proof reading.

This is a 17.5 hours a week, office-based post (days worked negotiable), available for 6 months.
