We’re Anthony Nolan and we save the lives of people with blood cancer who need a stem cell transplant.

We’re unique. Thanks to the incredible donors on our register, our pioneering research and our passionate fundraisers, we give the chance of life to three people a day.

But we won’t stop there. We want to be there for everyone who needs a transplant; from finding a match, through every step of a patient’s transplant journey. And together we can reach the remarkable day when we can save the lives of everyone with blood cancer.

And now we want you to join our lifesaving team. We are looking for a Policy and Public Affairs Manager to join our department as maternity cover for a one year period.

As Policy and Public Affairs Manager, you will promote understanding of Anthony Nolan’s lifesaving work among policy and political audiences and wider stakeholders. You will implement and develop Anthony Nolan’s policy research and public affairs activity. The role also involves implementing and developing Anthony Nolan’s campaigning activity, engaging decision-makers, stakeholders and supporters to promote the case or positive public policy change.

With previous experience in a public affairs or policy-based role, you will have solid understanding of political engagement and policy-making processes. An expert understanding of the workings of Government and Parliament is essential, along with strong research and communications skills. You will also have experience of briefing senior management or executive teams. Understanding of and experience in the health or charity sectors are desirable, but not essential.
