Do you want to shape the future of healthcare? The Royal College of Physicians is looking for a talented and proactive public affairs coordinator to join our award winning Strategy, Communications and Policy Department to support the implementation of the RCP’s public affairs strategy.
The public affairs coordinator will help ensure that the voice of the hospital doctor is heard at highest levels in Government and Parliament.
As an experienced public affairs professional you will be comfortable balancing a varied workload and have an excellent understanding of the policy making process and Parliamentary procedure in the UK.
You will have experience of a wide range of public affairs activities including: organising parliamentary and party conference events; briefing MPs and peers on policy issues; briefing RCP representatives for meetings with senior stakeholders and Parliamentarians; and monitoring and responding to developments in Parliament and consultations.
Knowledge of health policy is an advantage, but is not essential. We are more interested in your first-rate communication skills and track record of successful influencing.
In return, excellent benefits are offered, which include generous leave, a first class pension scheme free lunch and much more.
The post is based at the Royal College of Physicians London office in Regent’s Park.
The Royal College of Physicians provides a wide range of services to our 30,000 members and fellows. We also lead medical debate, work to improve the quality of care for patients, and advise government and other decision-makers on behalf of our members.
