Three aspires to give more people in more places a better internet experience, which is one of the reasons we’re the fastest-growing UK mobile network. Our market place is fast changing too. New challenges and new regulations are reshaping the way we work. All of which makes it an exceptionally interesting time to find yourself at the heart of our public affairs team.

This role is focused specifically on our relationship with Westminster politics. You’ll be responsible for increasing awareness and understanding of Three among politicians and their staff, while also communicating effectively with internal audiences, including our directors, to keep them informed of key developments that will impact on our work. This will mean taking complex ideas and ensuring they’re explained clearly and straightforwardly to non-specialists. Reporting to our Lead Public Affairs Manager, you’ll also help to co-ordinate our political contact programme, draft letters and briefings and represent Three at events and meetings. You’ll undertake research as required and co-ordinate information for responses to consultations and information requests. We’ll also expect you to work with the Executive Office to track and manage our responses to parliamentarians’ constituency queries.

An interest in – and strong understanding of – politics is clearly essential and it’s likely that you’ll have experience either working for an MP or in another public affair role. You’ll be able to build strong relationships and have the gravitas and eloquence to represent Three externally, as well as brief senior staff internally. If you also have a strong grasp of the regulatory regime within the telecoms market, that’s an obvious advantage

Three is also the challenger brand in the UK and successful candidates will understand why that makes us unique in terms of our position within the policy debate. You will enjoy working in a small team and have great interpersonal skills.

Three might be the UK’s fastest growing network, but good service isn’t just about size. It’s about speed and quality too. Which is why we also work hard to provide the quickest and smoothest internet on the move. With affordable pricing and plenty of ways to stay connected, it’s not surprising we’re such a popular choice for smartphone and mobile broadband users. We’re committed to improving things for our customers and it’s an attitude that’s reflected throughout our business: every single person at Three believes we can challenge, change and lead the mobile communications industry. We’re no ordinary telecoms company. And this is no ordinary career. Things move faster at Three.
