Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

A healthcare professional membership organisation are currently seeking a Senior Policy officer to coordinate and manage the development of policy positions on current issues relevant to the organisation in addition to influencing the national healthcare policy agenda. 

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development of the organisation’s inputs to national policy consultations;
  • Engaging with relevant stakeholders on policy issues of importance to the body;
  • Providing committee support to the relevant committees (agenda setting, plan of actions etc.);
  • Leading the development of policy positions in liaison with relevant stakeholders (internal and external).

Required knowledge, skills and experience:

  • A strong academic background to degree-level or equivalent;
  • Demonstrable experience of policy development in a healthcare setting (government, health charity, healthcare membership organisation etc.);
  • Intellectual agility with the ability to work on complex health policy concerns;
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with experience of working with senior stakeholders.
