A healthcare professional membership organisation are currently seeking a Senior Policy officer to coordinate and manage the development of policy positions on current issues relevant to the organisation in addition to influencing the national healthcare policy agenda.
Additional responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development of the organisation’s inputs to national policy consultations;
- Engaging with relevant stakeholders on policy issues of importance to the body;
- Providing committee support to the relevant committees (agenda setting, plan of actions etc.);
- Leading the development of policy positions in liaison with relevant stakeholders (internal and external).
Required knowledge, skills and experience:
- A strong academic background to degree-level or equivalent;
- Demonstrable experience of policy development in a healthcare setting (government, health charity, healthcare membership organisation etc.);
- Intellectual agility with the ability to work on complex health policy concerns;
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with experience of working with senior stakeholders.
