A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a prestigious and highly visible charity who are seeking an experienced communications professional.

This leading charity is looking for a talented communications specialist with a track record in delivering high-profile public affairs and media relations. The Senior Public Affairs Manager will play a key role in the delivery of the communications strategy in the run up to the General Election. You will lead on public affairs, parliamentary activity and ensure there is an integrated communications approach to the work being delivered. Working closely with the Media Manager, you will build visibility of the organisation's role, its achievements and policy positions among political stakeholders and officials in government.

Key accountabilities:

  • Deliver an overarching communications strategy;
  • Lead on public affairs work and parliamentary engagement;
  • Develop and manage the processes for stakeholder engagement;
  • Support the media relations activity, handling the media and dealing with journalists.

Profile of the candidate:

  • Track record of delivering public affairs and media relations activity;
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to inspire and lead a team;
  • Excellent ambassadorial skills, representing the organisation at a senior level;
  • Ability to identify any media opportunities or threats;
  • Proven experience of working with stakeholders and successfully influencing at all levels.
