Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

Are you a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who can help deliver our ambitious Public Affairs strategy?

Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK with a nationwide network of rehoming centres and charity shops. Last year, Dogs Trust cared for over 15,000 dogs; we never put a healthy dog down.

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrable experience in a similar position and be ready to hit the ground running. You will be a senior figure in the research and implementation of Dogs Trust’s political activities and will have an excellent understanding of the political landscape in the UK, with a particular focus on Westminster, Wales and Northern Ireland.

In addition, you will be an independent thinker with a demonstrable ability to deliver your own projects, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with the wider Public Affairs team and other teams in Dogs Trust.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator in English (oral and written) and have excellent organisational skills, with the ability to balance a busy workload. You will have a flexible, proactive and creative mindset and a genuine interest in working to improve dog welfare.
