This is an opportunity to work in a multi-award winning Public Affairs Team with a track record of delivering campaigns that improve the lives of people affected by cancer. 



Macmillan Cancer Support is looking for a dedicated and passionate Public Affairs professional who understands how to develop and deliver effective influencing campaigns. 



Supporting the Public Affairs Manager you will have a crucial role in planning, coordinating and implementing Macmillan's public affairs strategy. With line management responsibility for two team members and as a member of the department management team, you will also be supporting Macmillan’s Public Affairs Department and the people within to grow and develop. 



To be successful in this role you will have strong people and project management skills, an excellent grasp of the current political scene, government and parliamentary process, and you’ll have obtained that experience in roles which have demanded the very best of your strategic focus and ability to proactively engage with and influence people at every level.

Actively involving people affected by cancer, you'll demonstrate awareness, understanding and enactment of Macmillan’s brand values in all your activities. You will also be effective in collaborating with teams from across Macmillan and key external stakeholders to develop and implement effective cross-functional campaigns.
