Do you have the confidence and drive to further your career in external affairs? The General Medical Council is looking for an outstanding and proactive Stakeholder and Public Affairs Officer to support our work at the heart of UK healthcare.
We are the UK’s independent medical regulator, working to protect, promote and maintain the health and safety of the public by ensuring proper standards in the practice of medicine by doctors.
Coordinating the GMC’s engagement with key stakeholders and other influencers across the UK, your role will be to ensure that our work is promoted and understood by these groups. You will ensure we engage in a positive, balanced and well-informed manner. You’ll also have a key role in making sure that other GMC colleagues are aware of political, policy and legislative developments that have the potential to impact on our work.
Experience in the development and implementation of stakeholder engagement strategies and insight in public affairs and politics is essential, as well as experience of working within Parliament or a UK healthcare organisation.
Along with impressive benefits, this is your opportunity to make a difference to patients and doctors across the UK within a high-profile UK organisation.
