Wellbeing, development, retention: Delivering the NHS People Plan and creating a workforce fit for the future
A virtual panel discussion delivered by The Whitehouse Consultancy in partnership with Virgin Care
The Whitehouse Consultancy invites you to join us for a discussion on delivering the NHS People Plan and creating a workforce that is fit for the future. The webinar will be hosted in partnership with Virgin Care and will take place on Tuesday 16th March at 10:30am GMT.
The discussion will be chaired by Baroness Cox FRCN, Hon. Vice President of the Royal College of Nursing, Founder and Chief Executive of the Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust and Founder of the Medical Emergency Relief International.
The workforce shortage across the UK’s health and social care sectors is one of the long-term challenges facing the NHS and providers of NHS services. Whilst the Covid-19 pandemic has changed the reality of work for all health employees, it has also created a new and strong interest in careers in these sectors. This presents policy and industry leaders with a unique opportunity to deliver on the objectives of the NHS People Plan.
Our panel of experts will discuss the evolution and implementation of the NHS People Plan, including successes and challenges, and the impact the Plan will have on talent, development and retention in the NHS workforce. The discussion will focus on employee health and wellbeing, flexibility and inclusive leadership at all levels, as well as increasing opportunities for professional development and levelling up communities.
Joining our panel of experts are:
- Antonia Borneo, Head of Policy and Public Affairs, Royal College of Nursing;
- Samantha Kane, Chief People Officer, Virgin Care;
- Finn O’Dwyer-Cunliffe, Workforce Policy Adviser, NHS Providers;
- Chris Thomas, Senior Research Fellow in Health and Social Care, Institute for Public Policy Research.
We hope you can join us for a timely discussion with industry leaders as the UK’s healthcare system responds to new challenges and opportunities.
