The intern will be responsible for providing policy teams with high quality monitoring and research support services.

Duties and responsibilities
Key responsibilities include supporting teams with the following:
- Management of central excel spreadsheet covering Brexit related legislation and regulations;
- Desk research and insights gathering;
- Monitoring and collating political and regulatory developments on relevant policies in the UK, EU and internationally;
- Monitoring social, online and traditional media for trends and the identification of opportunities in the capital markets and wholesale space;
- Producing briefings, member content, updates and newsletters;
- Developing, writing and editing policy consultations, research papers and reports;
- Generating online content and news stories;
- Reviewing publications, copy writing and editing;
- Events and engagement activity;
- Ad hoc administrative tasks;
- Any other task that may reasonably be required.
Skills and competencies
In order to be considered for this role, it is essential that candidates are able to demonstrate the following:
- A strong interest in politics, public affairs and the financial services industry;
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; in particular Microsoft excel;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- A conscientious approach with excellent attention to detail;
- Excellent time management and organisational skills;
- Working knowledge of the major social media channels including Twitter and LinkedIn;
- Must be able to multi task and handle a number of projects and deadlines concurrently;
- Must be a proactive self-starter with strong initiative and a willing, can-do attitude;
- Ability to operate effectively and collaboratively as part of a team;
- Strong research skills.
Qualifications
As a minimum requirement candidates must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.1 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
