Following the recent election and change of government we’re looking for another Monitoring Executive to join our small and close-knit team. From day one, you’ll be helping to keep our valued clients informed of key developments across Parliament, as well as helping to produce summaries of debates and policy. It’s a fast-paced role that requires a focused attitude, willingness to pitch in and the ability to multitask. In return, we offer the chance to be a key member of our fantastic team, excellent benefits, on the job training (both in house and external) and the opportunity to become an expert on the UK Parliamentary system.

Monitoring Executive responsibilities

  • Distribute Hansard, devolved reports and stakeholder monitoring to a high standard – responsible daily for reading and summarising parliamentary content, and making sure it gets to the right people on time using a combination of Office 365 and our own in-house systems;
  • Writing reports and briefings – responsible for client reports, and contributing towards our highly respected briefings on a variety of political and parliamentary issues;
  • Liaising with clients – helping to advise clients on a variety of issues, ranging from parliamentary procedure to providing ad hoc research support;
  • Contribute across the business – actively contributing your own fresh perspective to the improvement and efficiency of existing monitoring systems from day one.

Hours: 45 per week, including one-hour daily lunch break. Daily working hours vary from 7am to 4pm, 8am to 5pm and 8.30am to 5.30pm. Hours during parliamentary recesses are often shorter but are dependent on business needs at the time.

Holiday: 20 days plus UK bank holidays. We usually offer generous time off over the Christmas and New Year period.

Benefits: We provide a wide range of benefits (subject to regular review) after your three-month probation period is over. After one year’s continuous employment, you will be eligible for a discretionary bonus and time off for volunteering activities.
