The shortlist for the 2015 CIPR Excellence Awards, the public relations profession’s longest running and most prestigious awards scheme has been announced. This year’s awards attracted over 600 entries from a broad range of public relations sectors, with over 100 different organisations making the list. Over a third of all shortlisted entries were made by organisations and individuals based outside of London. PubAffairs is proud to be a Sponsor of the Awards. The CIPR Excellence Awards night will be held at Old Billingsgate, London, on Wednesday 3rd June 2015 and tickets are now available.

Creative public relations agencies Tin Man and Hope&Glory lead the way each receiving six shortlist nominations across multiple categories, with Tin Man making the shortlist for Outstanding Small Public Relations Consultancy. Competing to be recognised as the Outstanding Large Public Relations Consultancy will be Brands2Life, Hotwire, Lansons and Pegasus.

Shortlisted entrants from across the 28 categories will now be put through their paces by up to four expert category judges at panel interviews, hosted at the CIPR in London.

Presiding over a team of over 90 judges from across public relations, marketing, business and the creative industries, this year’s CIPR Excellence Awards Chairs of Judges are Paul Mylrea Chart.PR FCIPR, Past CIPR President and Director of Communications at the University of Cambridge, and Sandra Macleod FCIPR, Founder and CEO of Mindful Reputation.

Paul MylreaCommenting on the shortlist announcement, Paul Mylrea said “Everyone who has made this year’s shortlist should feel extremely proud of getting this far. The standard of entries continues to improve year on year, demonstrating an increasingly vibrant public relations profession. It is the next stage of the process; the face-to-panel interviews that really sets the CIPR Excellence Awards as a standard-bearer, above any other international public relations awards”.
