George Robinson joined fast growing Newgate Communications as an Associate Partner in the Public Affairs Practice on 9 July from Abellio UK, where he was Head of Policy and Communications, reporting to the Board. Robinson will be working on a range of clients including the agency’s most recent new business win, plastic recycling leader, Diebold Nixdorf.

Robinson previously worked for Westbourne Communications and also at MWWPR with Newgate’s Public Affairs practice head, Simon Gentry.

Robinson started his career in public affairs working for a Conservative MP as a Parliamentary Researcher, before joining the Press Office in Conservative Party’s Campaign Headquarters and the Parliamentary Research Unit, which provides policy support to backbench Tory MPs.

Commenting on the appointment, Newgate managing partner and head of public affairs, Simon Gentry said "I'm absolutely delighted to be working with George again. He brings both an outstanding network of contacts and brilliant client handling skills. We are delighted that he chose Newgate. With George joining the team we're expertly placed to give clients deep insight into what is going on in Government and develop strategies to help them navigate the fast-moving political landscape".
