JFG Communications has become certified as a B Corporation (B Corp), joining a global community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.
The certification recognises the longstanding commitment to growing a business that delivers positive social impact. As a specialist stakeholder engagement, public affairs and strategic communications consultancy, JFG works across the transport and infrastructure sectors, helping organisations deliver projects that support decarbonisation, diversity, inclusion, accessibility, and social value.
B Corp certification is awarded by B Lab following a rigorous assessment of a company’s governance, treatment of workers, community impact, environmental performance and customer relationships. Certified companies must also embed their commitment to balancing purpose and profit into their governance framework.
For JFG, becoming a B Corp represents a natural progression of the values on which our business was founded.
Jo Field OBE, Founder and CEO of JFG Communications, said:
“I’ve always believed that businesses have a responsibility to make a positive contribution to society, and that’s why I founded JFG with a purpose to help clients in the transport and infrastructure sectors deliver projects that support decarbonisation, diversity and inclusion.
“Achieving B Corp certification provides external recognition of efforts to create positive outcomes for people, communities and the environment. We’re proud to join a global community of organisations proving that business can be a force for good.”
Chris Turner, CEO of B Lab UK, said:
“We are delighted to welcome JFG Communications to the B Corp community. This is a movement of companies that are committed to changing how business operates and believe business really can be a force for good.
“We know that JFG is going to be a fantastic addition to the community and will continue driving the conversation forward.”
JFG joins a growing movement of more than 10,700 certified B Corps globally and over 2,700 in the UK, spanning organisations of all sizes and sectors.
