Glasgow-headquartered specialist communications consultancy Perceptive Communicators is celebrating a landmark period of success, with six award shortlistings and delivering its annual ‘Improving Lives’ charity support. This initiative provides free communications support and advice for charities focused on alleviating homelessness, child poverty and improving physical and mental health outcomes.
Perceptive has achieved significant recognition in the 2026 Glasgow Business Awards and CIPR Scotland Awards 2026.
In the Glasgow Business Awards, the consultancy is shortlisted three times across two categories. This includes The Glasgow Business Award for Best Performing Small-Medium Business and The Glasgow Business Award for Excellence in Communications.
The Excellence in Communications category sees Perceptive shortlisted twice and recognised for its client work with Cruden Homes and Clyde Gateway, highlighting the impact of collaborative communications programmes delivered with two of its long-standing clients.
Meanwhile in the CIPR Scotland Awards, Perceptive has been shortlisted for three awards namely, ‘Medium Agency of the Year’, ‘Best Event’ for launching the Health Innovation Hub with Kadans Science Partner, and ‘Best Long Term Client Care’ for its ongoing support of Cruden Homes.
Building on its core mission to support organisations that improve lives and transform futures, Perceptive recently hosted a dedicated, expert-led training day at its Glasgow office for 10 different charities. Every team member dedicated their time to deliver practical sessions covering key communications topics, including media and messaging, public affairs, networking and social media, equipping attendees with essential skills to amplify their reach and impact.
Michael O’Neill, Director of Development and Deputy CEO of Talbot Association, said: “At The Talbot Association, we’re the biggest provider of residential services in Glasgow for people experiencing homelessness. We have a lot to do and limited resources, so when Perceptive offered free communications training, we were delighted to take part. Their focus on improving lives and transforming futures really connects with our work and what we hope to achieve for the people we support.
“Working in the third sector can sometimes feel lonely, especially when you’re trying to keep services running through challenging times. Having people willing to share their time, knowledge and experience makes a real difference. The team at Perceptive were welcoming, understood the pressures we face and gave us practical ideas we can use. We came away feeling encouraged and more confident about sharing our story and the work we do. We’re really grateful for their support.”
Over the past five years, Perceptive has provided the equivalent of £10,000 annually in pro-bono assistance to charities focused on tackling homelessness, alleviating child poverty, and improving health outcomes, bringing its total support to over £50,000.
Julie Moulsdale, Managing Director of Perceptive Communicators, said: “We have a clear purpose at Perceptive to improve lives and transform futures - both through our client work in the built environment, science, technology, and leisure sectors, and through our commitment to the third sector. Hosting our recent Improving Lives training day was a fantastic opportunity for our team to share their expertise directly with 10 inspirational charities to help them supercharge their efforts.
“To complement that success with six shortlistings across five categories at the Glasgow Business Awards and CIPR Scotland Awards is a wonderful endorsement of our team in our 20th year in business. Being recognised both for our own business performance and for the tangible results delivered alongside our long-standing clients is particularly meaningful.”
The Glasgow Business Awards, now in their 28th year, recognise outstanding achievement across Glasgow’s business community. Winners will be announced at a black-tie ceremony at DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central on 1 October.
CIPR Scotland Awards returns this year and continues the proud tradition of celebrating the success, creativity and impact of Scotland’s PR industry. Winners will be crowned at the glittering awards ceremony which takes place at VOCO Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow, on Friday 20 November 2026.
