And they’re off! The new football season is underway with a host of new faces, both in the Premier League and for the second season of PubAffairs’ Fantasy Football League. 115 managers have been keeping an eye on the transfer window as it closes until January, looking to strengthen their teams.

Top of the league at the end of August (and, by default, Managers of Month for August) are Edinburgh-based practitioner Neil Cardwell (PR Executive, Digby Brown) and Andrew Lewin (Associate Director, Blue Rubicon). Both managers benefitted from the form of Chelsea and Swansea, who are both yet to drop points this season.

Completing the top five after the first month are Benji Inwood (External Affairs Executive, The Advertising Association), Nicholas Vaughan (Vice President, Teneo Strategy) and Robert Oxley (Campaign Director, Business for Britain).

There is still time to join the league, simply create an account at Fantasy Premier League and join the league using code 904357-225761. When registering, please send your team details along with your job title and organisation to alec@pubaffairs.co.uk.
