The Women in Public Affairs (WiPA) 2021 survey is open and you are invited to take part!

If you haven’t come across us before, the WiPA network was set up nine years ago to allow women across the UK industry to come together in an informal setting to share experiences, offer advice and support, and explore how we can work together to build a more diverse and representative public affairs industry.

To help inform our work, we have launched our 2021 industry survey, run in partnership with Opinium. This year, we’re taking a deeper dive into women’s progression in the industry, with a particular focus on transparency around pay and parental leave policies. This follows feedback in our previous surveys that 69% of women felt their company wasn’t transparent on pay and progression and that only 2 in 5 saw maternity/paternity leave policies published.

We also want to hear what practitioners want from the industry as it transitions into a new way of working post the pandemic. Last year, our survey showed positive change in this area but with some issues around work/life balance in particular. We want to ensure that the post-covid working model works for women in the industry.

You can fill the survey in here. It will close on 25 October, and is open to both men and women working in the industry.  The results of the survey will help inform WiPA’s work and event programme for the next year, so we’d be very grateful if you can share your views.
