Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

Join the Network

CoMoUK is the national charity for the social, economic and environmental benefits of shared transport. We are seeking an experienced and committed Advocacy and Engagement Manager to join our team. This new role will focus on amplifying our voice with decision-makers and stakeholders. You will help to shape public policy and raise awareness of the benefits of shared transport, including raising the profile of CoMoUK.

The ideal candidate will have considerable experience in advocacy, and a shared commitment to our values. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a core role in our charity, as well as make a tangible impact in improving the environmental and social impacts of transport in the UK.

Key responsibilities

Advocacy

  • In close liaison with the Chief Executive, devise a refreshed approach to advocacy including developing strategies to influence government policy at national, regional and local levels.
  • Engage with policy developments and legislation relevant to CoMoUK’s charitable objectives.
  • Carry out desk-based research and collate evidence to support written outputs.
  • Attend and drive forward the agenda for CoMoUK at meetings, conferences, and public forums.

Engagement, communications, campaigns management, stakeholder relations

  • In conjunction with the Chief Executive, develop and execute comprehensive communication plans and campaigns to raise stakeholders’ awareness of the public benefits of shared transport.
  • Create engaging content for various platforms, including blogs, social media, newsletters and our website.
  • Play a key role in planning and executing events and public engagements.
  • Play a key role in developing and maintaining CoMoUK’s relationships with external stakeholders.

The role is home-based within periodic reach of London. CoMoUK staff all work from home and are located across the UK.
