The Campaigns Officer will develop and deliver campaigns strategies that draw on a broad range of tactics to influence people and organisations, to support every aspect of the Foundation’s work.
The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation is the UK’s only allergy charity dedicated to scientific and medical research. We are dedicated to understanding the causes of - and developing ways to prevent, treat and ultimately eradicate – allergic disease. Key responsibilities include:
- To lead the development and delivery of a campaign and events strategy, drawing on broad and imaginative routes to change;
- Proactively follow developments in the public policy environment to inform the Foundation’s work and campaigns;
- To keep up to date with developments and innovations in campaigning;
- To work proactively with supporters to involve them more directly with the Foundation’s work, drive activity and individual fundraising initiatives.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Develop and implement high-profile national, regional, and local influencing campaigns;
- Increase the Foundation’s engagement and reach through campaigns work;
- Plan and deliver creative campaigns that effectively empower and inform the public;
- Help devise, manage and organise the Foundation’s programme of events;
- Work as a member of the team on the Foundation’s ongoing projects and take responsibility for particular activities within them.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Experience of public-facing campaigning or activism (this could be working with grassroots, community, or student groups, or working for a campaigning organisation, in a paid or unpaid capacity);
- Experience of administrative tasks;
- Experience of assisting in the organisation of events;
- Exceptional organisational skills and an attention to detail;
- Excellent written communication skills, and experience of producing written content – e.g., for newsletters, websites, social media, or policy briefings;
- Excellent oral communication skills, and experience of building relationships with stakeholders.
Location: Remote/Hybrid working; travel to meetings expected; monthly staff team days in London; some evenings and weekend work.
