The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

TechAmerica Europe is recruiting an E&S Policy Manager with special focus on:

  • Environmental policy issues – RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Eco Design and nano materials;
  • Standards policy issues – NLF (MSR and CPSR), third country market access, RED;
  • eHealth.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate technical discussion amongst Member companies and organise Working Group meetings and external advocacy;
  • Formulate timely, technical and concise contributions to EU decision-makers;
  • Undertake research and provide information support to Members;
  • Maintain, strengthen and develop network across the EU institutions and wider stakeholder environment;
  • Represent the organisation externally and advocate policy positions to EU decision-makers;
  • Project manage stakeholder discussions and facilitate events.

Qualifications:

  • Integrity, diligence, ability to manage multiple dossiers, pro-activeness and an outgoing/positive nature;
  • Strong knowledge of EU policy making;
  • Knowledge/experience of one or all of the identified policy areas and willingness to learn new topics to deliver value to the members;
  • Fluent command of written and spoken English plus working knowledge of French;
  • Proven experience in private, public or NGO sector in a similar role;
  • University degree in EU law, political science;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
