We have a fantastic opportunity for a External Affairs Executive to join our London based team for 12 months with a salary on offer is from £35,000 DOE. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to gain hands on External affairs experience within a large, national organisation.
We are looking for a politically astute communications professional to join our communications team. The External Affairs Executive will support the Senior External Affairs Manager, Head of Communications, and wider colleagues, to ensure the company’s voice is heard, develop the company’s influence, and create advocates among key national and local decision-makers. You will:
- Provide Parliamentary updates and horizon-scanning for future engagement opportunities;
- Support colleagues to map and track stakeholder interactions using our CRM;
- Produce reports which summarise stakeholder and external engagement;
- Conduct research and summarise key policy, political, and wider stakeholder matters;
- Support a high-quality briefing service for meetings with health ministers and parliamentarians, ministerial visits, and select committee appearances, and work closely with the Department for Health and Social Care.
The ideal candidate will have experience of providing a public affairs service in-house or agency and be capable of producing high quality communications for external stakeholders. You will also have experience engaging with senior parliamentary, Whitehall, and internal stakeholders. This is a key role that engages with multiple internal and external stakeholder so excellent relationship building skills are essential.
