Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

The Role

We are looking to recruit a strong, experienced and credible senior public affairs professional to lead our public affairs, media, Wales, Brussels and international teams.

You’ll be responsible for leading the key teams who represent, advise, engage and influence across multiple jurisdictions. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in promoting the solicitor profession and demonstrating our member’s commitment to serving the public interest. You’ll ensure we are an influential voice with policymaking stakeholders and champion the sector’s economic value to the UK economy.

What we're looking for

Bringing a proven record of achievement and delivery, you will have an effective leadership style, experience of developing high-performing teams, and the ability to deliver results through others, both in your own team and across the organisation. Management experience within a complex organisation is crucial, as is evidence of acting as a strategic partner within the business. Ideally bringing experience of domestic and international policy and public affairs, the successful candidate will play a critical part in shaping the delivery of the function for the future and must thrive in an environment of organisational change and transformation. Above all, you must be able to drive commitment and actions towards a common goal and build productive partnerships which d eliver our corporate objectives.
