The Aerospace Policy Adviser plays a key role in representing and supporting the UK’s aerospace industry. Managing critical policy issues and industry input into the UK Government and other stakeholder’s aviation priorities, climate change and environmental policies, and aviation safety regulations, this role helps to establish aerospace policy priorities and ensures they are supported by a strong evidential base.

The Aerospace Policy Advisor leads our policy engagement with officials in the Department for Transport and with the Civil Aviation Authority. The role also heavily supports with our engagement with officials in the Department for Business and Trade. Working across ADS teams, they will provide data, analysis and advice to member companies on the industrial contribution of UK Aerospace.

The role directly reports to the Head of Policy with no direct reports.

The Candidate

The role requires the candidate to have sound political judgement and diplomacy expertise with a good understanding of domestic and international Aerospace policy.

The successful candidate will have high levels of analytical, presentational and written skills coupled with the ability to creatively approach issues affecting member companies.

With excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and oral communication traits, you have a natural ability and willingness to engage multiple stakeholders.

We are seeking a candidate with energy, drive and enthusiasm for the aerospace sector, as well as the industrial, business and political environment in which it operates.

Contract & Benefits

Contract: Permanent, fulltime role, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

Salary: £45k to £55k per annum, depending on experience.

Location: Hybrid working- 3 days in the London Head Office and 2 days from home.
