About the job

We are looking for a Policy and Public Affairs Manager to join our world-class team as we scale our services in the UK to help more people manage their health at home. This is a great time to join as we have recently secured NHS funding to expanding our early chronic kidney disease diagnosis service across the country.

About Healthy.io

Healthy.io is the global leader in turning the smartphone camera into a medical device. Described by the Economist as “the company to usher in the era of the medical selfie”, Healthy.io’s unique team combines world-class computer vision technologists, product designers, biochemists, and software developers with people that have a deep understanding of transforming health systems.

Our smartphone-based technology enables clinical grade urinalysis to be carried out by patients anywhere, anytime - and we are working with patients, pharmacies, and the NHS to transform diagnosis and monitoring of conditions such as urinary tract infection, chronic kidney disease, and pre-eclampsia.

True to our ‘medical selfie’ vision we are also expanding our product portfolio to enable healthcare professionals to use their smartphone camera to improve documentation and management of chronic wounds, working with sites across the NHS to tackle this £5 billion challenge.

The Role

Reporting to the Partnerships Director, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of Healthy.io’s strategy and approach to influencing policy and engaging with government and other key strategic stakeholders. You will mobilise our evidence base and existing relationships to make the case for continued expansion of digital health services in the UK to drive improved patient outcomes and reduced costs for the NHS.

Working closely with our commercial teams in the UK and internationally, you will use your experience to develop and implement campaigns to enable us to engage effectively with policy makers and shape the environment for smartphone-based diagnostic tools in the NHS.

You will be supported by our clinical, strategy, regulatory, sales and marketing teams to put your plans into action, managing a budget for external agencies or consultants as required.

We see this as a pivotal, high growth role with the potential to take on significant leadership responsibility and are looking for an experienced candidate who can truly make a difference. This is a great role for someone with an understanding of how to influence healthcare policy, who is keen to take on strategic and operational responsibilities.

You can be based at home or work in Healthy.io’s central London office.
