This is an exciting opportunity to work within CAF’s internationally-recognised Policy & Public Affairs team and support our wider influencing work to have a major impact on the charity sector both in the UK and around the world.

This is a vital role working within our Programmes & External Affairs division to help ensure our policy and influencing work has maximum impact.

You will have a strong interest in civil society and promoting charitable giving, as well as an appreciation of current affairs more broadly. With an appetite for working effectively as part of a team covering a wide array of issues, you will be confident using a range of different communications techniques, drafting high-quality content for publications and leading on organising and running events (both online and offline).

You will work with our policy team to help develop new thinking for the charity sector; represent CAF in meetings with politicians and policymakers; respond to written consultations and provide detailed briefings on our work to a diverse range of stakeholders. You will also work with our campaigns and public affairs team to develop and implement leading campaigns such as Giving Tuesday and to communicate our work to influencers and decision makers.

In addition to a proven background in policy or public affairs in a relevant area, you will have an appetite for working on a variety of projects across different issues; a keen eye for detail; excellent written and personal presentation skills; the ability to learn and develop in the role; and a willingness to take on responsibility for managing your own work where appropriate.
