Job Description
You will:
- Produce high-quality policy and research products;
- Support the wider team's policy insight and influencing strategy aimed at key decision-makers across the world;
- Support the promotion of our client's public voice and external affairs strategy;
- Produce reports, policy statements and responses to government consultations and select committee inquiries;
- Analyse political, economic and industry developments to ensure that policy projects address the most salient issues affecting civil engineering and the infrastructure sector;
- In consultation with the Lead Policy Manager work on the development of policy across multiple programmes and projects;
- Enable knowledge transfer from our client to key policymakers and industry leaders;
- Enable communications colleagues to respond to media requests to promote profile and support informed debate;
- Support senior staff and members in developing relationships with civil servants, think tanks, industry leaders, academics and others.
The Successful Applicant
Essential skills:
- The successful applicant will be familiar with and comfortable working with senior figures in politics, the civil service and industry;
- Extensive experience of carrying out research, report drafting, responding to government consultations, as well as a thorough understanding of the public policy making processes;
- Stakeholder engagement - both internally and externally;
- Excellent drafting skills - report writing skills.
